I was hoping Avatar was going to win more awards and recognition.  Avatar took home three Oscars, for Art direction, Cinematography and Visual Effects.  I admit the script was cheesy but it is still an huge achievement in the art of filmmaking.

Tonight’s get together was small.  I had a nice time with friends and the better half relaxing, having enchiladas, movie candy and enjoying the show.  It wasn’t that great but Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin did a pretty decent job.

Nothing really that memorable this year except for Kathryn’s win.  I wasn’t too thrilled with the dance number for Best Original Score.

I hope 2010 will bring out more interesting nominees for the 83rd Academy Awards.
