FLICKS : A Few Good Men

April 20, 2010

“A Few Good Men” was on TV Monday night on Bravo.  I can’t believe it’s been 18 years since the film’s release.  I remember seeing it when I was in high school with a classmate.  As we were walking out of the theater she said “Man that was depressing, makes you not want to be a lawyer.”   Tom Cruise and Demi Moore were still in their twenties when they were filming it.  It was the movie right after “Ghost” and she was still growing her hair out.  Even I had the ghost haircut.

It’s interesting getting to watch things again when you’re older.   You get to see it in a different light.  Perhaps it’s because you needed those years to grow, live, make mistakes and experience what life really is about.   Can you really handle the truth?

A very good film because of the script writing was excellent and character development and casting are superb. A wonderful drama about allegiance to military superiors who abandon the very people who have the most allegiance. Nice post, check out my review when you can!
